About the role
- Project Manager responsible for managing environmental remediation and construction projects across Western Canada. Opportunity for various employment options, including remote and hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental remediation, reclamation, demolition, civil earthworks, and pipeline-related projects
- Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, scopes, and forecasts
- Assist in the bidding process
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contracts, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements
- Monitor project performance related to safety, cost, schedule, productivity, profitability, and QA/QC
- Manage project costs, forecasting, documentation, progress billings, and change management
- Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and client deliverables
Requirements
- 5–10 years of Project Management experience related to General Construction, Mining, Environmental Remediation/Reclamation, Earthworks, Demolition, or Oil & Gas Construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction project management
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or related program is an asset
- Experience managing projects in remote or northern environments is a definite asset
- Strong estimating experience is considered a major asset
- Technical writing experience, including reports and project documentation, is considered an asset
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Ability to travel is a definite asset
