Project Manager leading environmental projects for KBL, Western Canada’s largest environmental waste management company. Overseeing project budgets, client coordination, and field staff mentorship.
Responsibilities
Manage environmental projects from planning through completion, including budgets, schedules, reporting, and overall project performance
Coordinate with clients, regulators, internal teams, subcontractors, and field crews to meet project and compliance requirements
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, work plans, and proposals for new and existing project opportunities
Oversee field activities, site safety, sampling programs, and compliance monitoring to ensure work is completed safely and to regulatory standards
Lead, support, and mentor field staff through training, task delegation, and ongoing project communication
Requirements
University degree or college diploma in Environmental Sciences or a related field
Hands-on experience in environmental site assessment, remediation, and sampling (soil, water, air)
Ability to perform physically demanding field work, including lifting up to 100 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in challenging outdoor conditions
Ability and willingness to travel frequently to multiple project sites across the North, including remote locations
Willingness to work both in the office and in the field, with exposure to weather, dust, noise, mud, water, and other site conditions
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to remote project locations
First Aid and WHMIS/TDG certifications (or willingness to complete training provided by KBL)
