About the role
- Data Analyst Co-op developing and maintaining sales data pipelines at Lumerate. Collaborating with sales teams and providing technical expertise in a biological context.
Responsibilities
- Own the maintenance of existing data pipelines, primarily within Google Colab
- Build new pipelines to support sales data initiatives
- Support the team's transition from manual scripting to automated workflow orchestration using Airflow
- Execute daily technical processes, including distill coverage and publishing events from scripts
- Act as the technical SME for the sales team, ensuring data accuracy and providing actionable insights
- Work closely with the broader team on core initiatives, participating in research syncs to understand the why behind the data
Requirements
- A foundational understanding of biological sciences (e.g., Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or Molecular Biology)
- Proficiency in Python, specifically for data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy)
- Experience with Google Colab highly preferred
- Experience with (or a strong desire to learn) workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
- Ability to act as a technical SME for the sales team, explaining technical data processes clearly
- High bar for data integrity and enjoyment in auditing large datasets for accuracy
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Registered full-time or part-time under a co-operative education program in a publicly funded Ontario post-secondary institution
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
