About the role

  • Data analytics intern supporting TD Insurance’s data governance, operational insights, datasets, dashboards, and reporting. Four-month Winter 2027 placement in Montréal or Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Support Analytics Zone users with data governance and data management activities, including metadata management, data onboarding, documentation, and compliance-related processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate data management processes
  • Support implementation of innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and user experience
  • Analyze and monitor operational performance metrics
  • Identify trends and provide actionable insights for business decision-making
  • Develop and maintain analytical datasets and databases by transforming and enhancing existing data sources
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions tracking key performance indicators and business outcomes
  • Support one of the department areas: GIAC Insights, Revenue Insights, Claims Insights, Fraud, or Governance and Regulatory

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Business Insights, Statistics, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
  • Coding skills and knowledge of programming languages such as SQL and Python
  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as Posit and Power BI
  • Strong analytical, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability to perform effectively independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage constant deadlines
  • Applications must include a transcript, cover letter of one letter-sized page or less, and a resume of maximum two pages
  • Must reside in Canada, as TD requires employees to reside in the country where the role is located
