About the role

  • Technical QA Manager overseeing automation, CI/CD, UATs, and defect management. Improving AI-powered products for professionals in the medical innovation ecosystem at a Canadian tech company.

Responsibilities

  • Create project User Acceptance Tests and verify test plans
  • Systematically triage and manage bugs across the technology stack
  • Maintain and monitor CI/CD systems
  • Manage staging systems, including data extracts, full data deployments, and development data versioning
  • Support engineering teams by clarifying technical constraints
  • Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage test automation
  • Help shape QA processes, methodologies, and test strategies for agentic systems and AI applications

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, QA Automation, or related technical roles such as Software Developer within a software product company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical hands-on experience
  • Ability to read application and test code, such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and running test suites within CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or similar integration tools
  • Direct experience using modern issue-tracking software like Linear, Jira, or GitHub Issues to triage and manage defects
  • Practical experience translating product briefs into comprehensive User Acceptance Tests (UATs) and clear test plans
  • Experience working with B2B, SaaS, or complex web applications is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with ChatGPT MegaBuster 2000™
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and focused on quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Solid technical understanding of automated testing processes and best practices
  • Comfortable reading and navigating application code and test suites to identify edge cases and pipeline failures
