About the role

  • Account Manager growing existing and new client relationships for Netagen, a technology and telecommunications solutions provider. Driving renewals, upsells, cross-sells, and customer success across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with assigned clients
  • Conduct account reviews and client touchpoints to assess satisfaction, identify risks, and uncover renewal, retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Grow account revenue by aligning client needs with Netagen products and services
  • Serve as the primary client point of contact, address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Partner with Operations, Shared Organizational Services, Sales Design, and Sales Support to coordinate service delivery and develop solutions
  • Manage account renewals, contract amendments, and service changes while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Maintain client, opportunity, pipeline, and activity records in CRM systems; prepare reports and forecasts
  • Monitor account health, minimize churn, and strengthen client engagement
  • Track industry trends, market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to provide client recommendations
  • Participate in professional development, training, and industry events
  • Contribute to sales forecasting and business planning
  • Achieve or exceed revenue, renewal, and account growth objectives
  • Develop and execute account plans for key clients

Requirements

  • University or College degree in business, marketing, sales or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience in account management, customer success, or inside sales, ideally in technology or telecommunications
  • Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset
  • Proven track record maintaining client relationships and achieving sales or retention targets
  • Strong consultative and value-based selling capability
  • Working knowledge of structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling, Sandler, or similar frameworks
  • Ability to prospect, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities while expanding existing accounts through renewal, upsell, and cross-sell strategies
  • Ability to build account plans, map stakeholders and decision processes, identify economic buyers, manage compelling events, and advance opportunities through a disciplined sales cycle
  • Experience building and managing a qualified pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM data
  • Ability to forecast account growth, renewal risk, and new business opportunities
  • Ability to engage technical contacts, business leaders, procurement teams, and executive decision-makers
  • Skills in discovery, active listening, objection handling, commercial negotiation, and presenting business cases
  • Comfortable learning and selling technology, telecommunications, managed services, connectivity, collaboration, or related business solutions
  • Ability to translate product, service, and market knowledge into client-specific recommendations
  • Customer-focused, resilient, and commercially curious
