Regional Parts Manager overseeing customer accounts and sales strategies for NFI Parts in Canada. Focused on developing relationships and optimizing parts sales in the region.
Responsibilities
Responsible for developing a cohesive strategy for their region to deliver on agreed upon annual sales and profitability targets.
Responsible for updating strategy on an on-going basis.
Regular reporting on regional sales activities.
Execute specific sales growth initiatives with primary focus on sales to new and existing customers.
Initiate and participate in on-site sales calls/visits.
Performs regular proactive outbound phone sales calls to key accounts to ensure all service parts needs are being met.
Serves as the liaison between the customer and internal organization to resolve issues, complaints, backorders, and other problems tied to the aftermarket business.
Performs outbound phone sales calls to customers within the assigned territory for post-delivery sales, i.e. suggested stocking lists, new product introductions, invitations to participate in NFI webinars (including CCS training) and technical training events.
Analyze customer’s operations to optimize selection of appropriate parts and stocking levels and develop and implement plans to convert customers from competing brands of both coaches and parts.
Provides competitor parts numbers for the possibility of reverse engineering and increasing product offering.
Professionally represent NFI and present at programs and/or national conferences and trade shows.
Generate leads from tradeshows and regional networking events.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Business related field preferred.
Experience in heavy duty commercial vehicle parts sales preferred.
Experience in coach, bus or heavy-duty truck equipment and/or OEM equipment sales and technical product support preferred.
5+ years demonstrated consecutive periods of sales excellence in long cycle sales; preferably in transportation, logistics, parts/material supplier or product development.
Knowledge of coaches, school buses, class 8 trucks, agricultural or construction equipment is preferred.
prefer knowledge of “whole vehicle” parts and systems (engines, electrical, HVAC, drive train, suspensions, brakes, etc.); ability to provide first level diagnosis of coach issues and/or to connect the customer with NFI technical resources for secondary level diagnosis (Call center, Service center, or onsite product support).
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.
Energetic, confident, customer service, oriented personality with strong persuasive abilities.
Must be proactive, always take the initiative and create demand for NFI’s products and services.
Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
Personal presence must reflect the highest level of professionalism.
Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks and projects on time and within budget.
Ability to travel overnight within regions up to 70%.
