Systems Administrator supporting critical construction operations by delivering innovative technology solutions. Managing server resources and responding to user-reported issues within the Ottawa District.
Responsibilities
Resolves user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for handling support cases.
District jobsite setup and turndown, including remote support.
Delivers technical training and other knowledge resources.
Administers and monitors district office and construction site server resources and technology solutions to ensure optimal operation, and responds to issues.
Accurate and timely logging of problems, and resolutions to problems, in problem-management database.
Provides implementation support on corporate and regional initiatives.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in computer technology or a related discipline.
Co-op/internship or relevant experience preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work.
Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset.
Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
