About the role

  • Project Manager delivering cross-functional quantum technology projects at Photonic. Coordinating plans, stakeholders, risks, reporting, and PMO processes from initiation through closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of defined projects from initiation through closeout
  • Own day-to-day execution for one or more projects, translating goals into clear scope, milestones, and success criteria
  • Build and maintain project plans covering scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, priorities, and trade-offs
  • Facilitate kickoffs, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives; document and follow through on decisions and action items
  • Track execution against commitments and surface risks, issues, blockers, scope changes, and resourcing conflicts
  • Coordinate tasking and timelines with team leads and functional stakeholders across workstreams
  • Escalate risks and broader trade-offs to Senior Project Managers and Program Managers as needed
  • Maintain project artifacts including charters, RACI, RAID logs, schedules, meeting notes, and status reports
  • Provide weekly status reporting covering progress, next steps, risks, budget/timeline impacts, and decisions required
  • Follow PMO standards for traceability and change control
  • Use Jira, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Excel, and appropriate AI-assisted workflows while validating outputs and respecting confidentiality and IP sensitivity
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of project processes and templates

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–6+ years of experience managing projects in a cross-functional environment (R&D, engineering, operations, or product preferred)
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, risk, change control) and common artifacts (RAID, RACI, project charter)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to drive alignment and influence without authority
  • Comfort working with project tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Excel) and building simple dashboards/status reports
  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum training is an asset
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
