About the role
- Principal Salesforce Architect modernizing enterprise healthcare technology at PointClickCare. Designing Salesforce strategies, integrations, taxonomy, and transformation roadmaps for 30,000+ provider organizations.
Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic vision for the Enterprise Architecture practice under the guidance of leadership
- Collaborate with domain architects, engineers, and leaders to develop technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks
- Develop and manage technical strategy and coordinate adoption across system design, infrastructure integrations, application development, and runtime principles
- Manage the architecture review process, validation checklists, architectural artifacts, and domain-specific guidance
- Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce platform solutions
- Design and develop efficient end-to-end solutions for complex business problems
- Apply architectural and engineering concepts to ensure scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability
- Manage technical delivery of custom development integrations and data migration for Salesforce implementations
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Salesforce technical strategy covering architecture, development, integration, and maintenance
- Research emerging technologies, develop proofs of concept, and recommend robust, cost-effective technologies
- Drive adoption of enterprise design patterns and standard solution design and development processes
- Produce target-state solution architectures, conduct architectural assessments and gap analyses, and shape solution roadmaps
- Partner with data architects on data integrity, security, compliance, and data management
- Partner with integration architects on integration strategies and system data flow
- Ensure individual solutions align with overall enterprise architecture
- Collaborate with business leaders to create business capability models aligned with technology needs
- Foster a learning community within enterprise architecture and deliver value to business units
- Report to the Director – Enterprise Architecture and work with IT, product teams, and senior executives
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a senior domain architect or senior enterprise architect
- Prior experience as a Principal Salesforce Architect in a global organization working with Salesforce Connected Apps and Salesforce AppExchange applications
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions
- Led at least two large-scale Product-to-Cash (CPQ/RCA) implementations from design to go-live
- 5+ years of experience defining Salesforce architecture across quoting, contracting, fulfilment, billing, revenue, customer success, and customer support
- Experience planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation programs
- Proven track record leading large-scale Salesforce initiatives from concept to delivery
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture capabilities and ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud or SuccessFactors ecosystem
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- 5 years of hands-on enterprise architecture framework experience, such as TOGAF, C4, or ArchiMate
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Previous roles focused on data architecture, application or solution architecture, integration, risk management, and technology standards
- Strong understanding of security architecture principles and practices
- Proven experience in business capability modeling and translating business needs into technology solutions
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications preferred
- Familiarity with managed packages such as Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, Qualtrics, or similar enterprise apps would be a plus
- Generative AI Code Assistants such as GitHub Copilot and knowledge of current Generative AI model capabilities would be an asset
