About the role

  • RBC student co-op supporting business analysis, project controls, communications, and technology operations. Contributing to solutions, documentation, schedules, web content, and IT portfolio accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirement documents to identify, track, and resolve business system issues and software requirements
  • Assess, research, analyze, and document stakeholder needs and support development of business solutions satisfying client needs
  • Gather and document information collaboratively end-to-end
  • Create process documents, end-user documentation, and training materials
  • Collaborate with groups to ensure IT project portfolio data is accurate and correct variances
  • Create and update detailed project schedules
  • Create and maintain web content, including training material wording, user guides, and FAQs
  • Ensure communication needs of Technology & Operations functional areas are met and aligned with site infrastructure and upcoming technology

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution, focusing on Business Technology Management, Business Analysis, Commerce, Project Management, Communications Design, or equivalent
  • Leadership acumen and passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and analytical thinking; self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge or experience with business analysis processes, including requirements gathering, documentation, and use cases
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities across assignments and prioritize effectively
  • Experience or understanding of IT standards, methodologies, SDLC, PMF, and industry-leading software, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and quantification methodologies
  • Experience creating process documents
  • Understanding of multimedia and interactive design principles
  • Experience with brand standards and delivering brand strategy
  • Resume and academic transcripts required in one PDF document
