About the role
- Business Development Representative generating qualified leads for Riverside’s AI-powered content creation platform. Conducting outbound prospecting, personalized outreach, cold calls, and CRM reporting.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and engage high-potential leads through outbound outreach
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective customers
- Qualify opportunities and set the stage for meaningful sales conversations
- Craft compelling messaging across outreach channels
- Connect with prospects through cold calls
- Investigate prospects’ unique needs to uncover potential fit
- Collaborate with the team on fresh ideas and strategies to refine the outbound approach
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report metrics
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt your message across different channels
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
- A self-driven, goal-oriented mindset, always striving to learn and improve
- Experience with outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and social media
- Strong executive presence and ability to build meaningful connections quickly
- A creative approach to outreach, constantly thinking of new ways to engage potential customers
- Attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting metrics
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for conferences and networking opportunities
- Must be based in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
