About the role
- Project Manager in IT PMO at Saputo responsible for large scale, complex IT implementations. Collaborating with teams globally to deliver projects aligning with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the project approach from concept through execution, including translating ambiguous business objectives into a clear delivery strategy, work breakdown structure, staffing model, deliverables, and integrated project plan.
- Provide the Saputo IT Leadership Team with weekly progress reports including risks, issues, decisions as well as recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure the timely communication of relevant project information to all affected team members, including changes to the plans, team structure, commitments, and project dependencies.
- Have strong leadership skills and provide guidance and support to optimize the performance of a diverse team.
- Manage internal and external relationships and coordinates work between different teams globally.
- Lead the end‑to‑end management of third‑party vendors and system integrators, including participation in vendor selection, contract negotiation, commercial governance, and oversight of delivery performance throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
- Coach and support other IT resources assuming Project Lead roles, contribute to the development of PMO Processes, Tools and Methodology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum (i.e. PMP, Prince II)
- SCRUM Master certification or successful completion of projects in hybrid or agile environments.
- A minimum of 8 years of total IT project delivery experience, of which 3-5 years include leading full delivery lifecycle as well as managing a diverse team
- Must have experience delivering SAP projects
- Experience delivering large projects or programs with complex application delivery
- Experience managing multiple system integrators
- Experience managing a global Deployment is an asset
- Experience delivering AI Use Case from Minimal Viable Product to full scale deployment an asset
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a delivery team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; ability to provide updates to Director and VP levels; adept at building relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate 20+ shared resources and collaborate at all levels.
- Strong people management skills including delegation, motivation, coaching, and conflict management capabilities.
- Ability to operate in complex, fast-paced project environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work-streams, teams, business divisions, geographies, time zones, & languages.
- Experience managing packaged software and SaaS implementation methodologies.
- Cross functional exposure, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain and HR/Payroll an asset
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project Professional and Excel) and SharePoint.
- French/English bilingual competency is an asset
- Product management knowledge or working experience is an asset.
