- Engineering Manager leading platform engineers focused on Infrastructure and DevOps at Shakepay. Driving technical direction, team growth, and operational excellence in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps and Developer Experience.
- Set technical direction for platform architecture and ensure roadmap execution
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in tooling, infrastructure, and reliability
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling in a regulated environment
- Design and build AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows that automate tasks and augment engineering productivity
- Improve developer productivity by reducing friction in onboarding, CI/CD, and local-to-prod workflows
- Ensure systems are secure, scalable, observable, and resilient as Shakepay grows
- Own incident management practices, postmortems, and sustainability of the on-call rotation
- Collaborate closely with product engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders
- Advocate for platform work by tying technical initiatives to business and customer impact
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps or SRE roles
- 3+ years managing and growing high-performing teams
- Familiarity with technologies like Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tooling, and GitOps
- Experience operating production systems and supporting on-call rotations
- Ability to set technical direction across both developer experience and infrastructure
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on business impact
- Comfort using AI tools in your day-to-day workflow to accelerate development, debugging, and learning
