Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps and Developer Experience.
Set technical direction for platform architecture and ensure roadmap execution
Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in tooling, infrastructure, and reliability
Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling in a regulated environment
Design and build AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows that automate tasks and augment engineering productivity
Improve developer productivity by reducing friction in onboarding, CI/CD, and local-to-prod workflows
Ensure systems are secure, scalable, observable, and resilient as Shakepay grows
Own incident management practices, postmortems, and sustainability of the on-call rotation
Collaborate closely with product engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders
Advocate for platform work by tying technical initiatives to business and customer impact
Requirements
10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps or SRE roles
3+ years managing and growing high-performing teams
Familiarity with technologies like Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tooling, and GitOps
Experience operating production systems and supporting on-call rotations
Ability to set technical direction across both developer experience and infrastructure
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on business impact
Comfort using AI tools in your day-to-day workflow to accelerate development, debugging, and learning
