About the role

  • Financial Analyst supporting accounting, reporting, forecasting, and tax compliance for wholesale trade printer SinaLite. Building Power BI dashboards and NetSuite reports while improving finance controls.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and period-end accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and GL review
  • Manage assigned areas of the month-end close process
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis to support management decisions
  • Maintain and analyze fixed asset and lease schedules
  • Monitor and reconcile bank and intercompany transactions, investments, and loans
  • Manage foreign currency accounts, revaluations, and FX adjustments
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual analysis
  • Prepare year-end audit working papers and support the audit process
  • Support cash flow forecasting, treasury, and corporate credit card management
  • Support U.S. state sales tax implementation, reconciliations, e-filing, and ongoing compliance
  • Support invoice review and approval in accordance with company policies and controls
  • Assist with EHT and WSIB filings and Statistics Canada surveys
  • Maintain inventory GL accounts and perform inventory, reprint, and waste analysis
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and NetSuite reports/Saved Searches
  • Leverage Claude AI and approved tools for financial analysis, reporting, and workflow automation
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and business teams on finance digital transformation initiatives
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls
  • Perform other finance-related duties and special projects assigned by the Controller or VP of Finance

Requirements

  • Major in Accounting or Finance, an accounting designation or working towards one
  • 3-8 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role
  • Considerable experience in data management, including assessing data quality, classifying and organizing data, and providing insights and recommendations from data analysis
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Power BI is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a fully computerized environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency in other MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience of treasury, pricing and cost analysis is an asset
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent communication, people, and problem-solving skills
