About the role

  • Associate Director leading client, investment, and ESG reporting analytics for global asset manager. Improving data governance, reporting accuracy, automation, and stakeholder outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production and governance of recurring client reporting deliverables
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used in client reports
  • Develop and maintain reporting methodologies, business rules, and quality controls
  • Translate client requirements into scalable reporting solutions
  • Support custom client requests and analytical inquiries
  • Coordinate periodic sustainability and ESG reporting across General Account and third-party client portfolios
  • Maintain reporting models, templates, and supporting documentation
  • Ensure reporting outputs align with methodologies and disclosure requirements
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards
  • Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Develop controls and reconciliations for reporting outputs
  • Partner with technology teams on source data management and data governance
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Lead automation initiatives using reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, and data solutions
  • Standardize reporting workflows and implement scalable controls
  • Advise business leaders, investment teams, operations, compliance, and client relationship managers
  • Facilitate discussions to resolve reporting issues and align business requirements
  • Mentor analysts and junior team members
  • Establish best practices for reporting, analytics, and quality assurance
  • Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and client service excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in client reporting, investment operations, analytics, data management, or financial services
  • Experience managing complex reporting processes and delivering executive-level insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, data validation, reconciliation techniques, and large-scale workbook management
  • Strong understanding of investment reporting, performance reporting, or financial services data environments
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities
  • Familiarity with ESG, sustainability, or investment classification frameworks
  • Experience managing large datasets and complex reporting models
  • Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, CBIP, PMP, or equivalent is considered an asset
  • Required to declare personal investment accounts and securities investments
  • Required to seek preclearance on future transactions, including those of household members
