About the role

  • Project manager managing various industrial projects in plant engineering at SOGECLAIR in Montreal. Responsible for budget adherence and project delivery within deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the needs of the plant’s various departments in terms of layout, equipment, or infrastructure;
  • Present projects to internal stakeholders and communicate project progress;
  • Develop and select innovative solutions while meeting client requirements;
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental rules and intervene as required;
  • Ensure deliverables comply with drawings and specifications and meet deadlines;
  • Plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously while respecting operational constraints and priorities;
  • Manage work under your responsibility (HSE, Quality, etc.) by maintaining constant oversight of external contractors;
  • Respect budgets and inform Bombardier managers of any project-related cost overruns when required.

Requirements

  • University or college degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture, or equivalent;
  • More than 5 years of experience as a project manager in an industrial environment or equivalent;
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to explain technical information clearly in written and verbal communications; excellent command of French and a good knowledge of English;
  • Strong computer skills in a Windows environment: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Teams, etc.;
  • Effective communicator; able to interact easily with multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds;
  • Autonomous, innovative and proactive;
  • Demonstrates leadership and strong ability to work with multidisciplinary teams;
  • Highly organized, results-oriented while remaining flexible to shifting priorities and used to managing multiple projects concurrently;
  • Experience in project management and ideally in AutoCAD drafting.
