About the role

  • Manager for global payroll and benefits administration at Solink, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency across multiple countries. Drive process improvements and automation for payroll operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end payroll operations across Canada, the US, and the UK, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll providers and ensure SLAs and service standards are met.
  • Review and approve payroll inputs, reconciliations, and post-payroll reporting.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure payroll aligns with accounting, reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Oversee global benefits programs, including enrollments, renewals, vendor management, and employee support.
  • Ensure benefits offerings remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with company strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to automate payroll and benefits workflows to reduce manual effort, errors, and cycle time.
  • Leverage payroll systems, integrations, and emerging AI-enabled tools to improve data accuracy, reporting, and employee experience.
  • Design and maintain scalable processes that support global growth and reduce operational risk.
  • Manage and support one direct report, providing coaching, development, and performance feedback.
  • Stay current on payroll, tax, and benefits regulations across all operating regions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll, with direct experience managing multi-country payroll.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including the ability to perform complex reconciliations, data analysis, and validation.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations in Canada, the US, and/or the UK.
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report.
  • Demonstrated experience improving operational efficiency through automation, system enhancements, or process redesign.
  • Comfort exploring and adopting new tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to streamline work.
  • Familiarity with global payroll vendors and HRIS/payroll systems.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines across regions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a comfort level operating in a fast-paced environment.
