About the role
- Senior Community Manager building and managing a Discord community for Wooster Games’ social VR game. Collaborating with players and developers to shape the game's community engagement strategy.
Responsibilities
- Build a new Discord community for a social VR game from Wooster Games
- Create a variety of community programs to encourage community members to chat and collaborate with each other, responding to players, live streams, organizing events, announcing new content releases, and resolving support tickets
- Surface critical bugs and community feedback to the dev team on a weekly cadence
- Have experience using AI to build Discord bots and analyze Discord and social media data
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with a preference for experience managing a young community of 50-100K+
- You’re an expert at Discord and VR live streaming technology
- Passionate about gaming – You will be playtesting in VR a lot to capture content
- A collaborative, team mindset is a must to work effectively with various stakeholders on the Discord, including product owner, developers, players, and content creators to develop and promote the game
- Bonus: Experience in multiple game platforms (VR, PC, Console, Mobile), graphic design and video editing skills that tune into Gen Z and Gen Alpha cultural trends
