About the role

  • HSSE Training Coordinator at Stantec developing online and facilitated HSSE training courses under the guidance of the HSSE Training Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new central HSSE (online and facilitated) training content
  • Work with HSSE operations teams to support and guide the development of training as needed
  • Update and maintain central HSSE training programs and courses
  • Identify gaps and develop learning objectives and specifications for new and existing courses
  • Maintain working knowledge of Stantec HSSE programs, policies and procedures
  • Assist in troubleshooting courses and learner experience issues
  • Assist in quality review process for course development
  • Edit and produce videos to supplement or support training development
  • Coordinate with internal facilitator pool and manage yearly schedule for courses
  • Collaborate with Stantec L&OD team on course development and facilitation communication

Requirements

  • Understanding of adult learning and behavioral science principles
  • Project management skills with the ability to support multiple course development efforts
  • Ability to identify and build course learning objectives and outcomes
  • Effectively incorporate learner and stakeholder feedback into training improvements and revisions
  • Proficiency in instructional design and eLearning authoring tools, principally Articulate Storyline
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • HSSE or occupational safety knowledge and experience is a plus
