About the role

  • Project Management Lead ensuring high-quality project execution in line with Stantec's management framework. Leading project managers and enhancing business development efforts in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the application of uniform and consistent project management practices and procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to work processes to optimize project execution, control and monitoring.
  • Act as project manager for certain engagements, assuming responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.
  • Support project managers in the implementation of health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) practices.
  • Supervise, coach and lead project managers and project coordinators.
  • Collaborate with teams to recruit, mobilize, develop, mentor and lead members of the project management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, combined with more than 10 years of progressive experience managing a broad range of major, complex projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary, technically complex projects (fees of $2M and above, or comparable level of complexity).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously across different disciplines and geographic regions.
  • Strong business acumen, including solid knowledge of financial aspects, contract management and overall business operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and collaboration platforms.
