About the role

  • Senior Project Manager overseeing energy sector projects from initiation to completion. Working with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives in time, budget, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while leading project teams, managing resources, and ensuring projects meet time, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Manage multiple energy sectors (Power Delivery, Heavy Industrial Process, Oil & Gas, etc.) projects, overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
  • Business Development support by communicating effectively with clients to identify needs, evaluating alternative solutions, and delivering value added services.
  • Define project objectives, establish timelines, and develop detailed Project Management Plans to guide planning and execution and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional teams, delegate tasks, facilitate communication, and maintain team motivation and collaboration.
  • Communicate regularly with the client and project team, serving as the central point of contact between stakeholders and team members.
  • Provide day-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team.
  • Develop, track, and update the project budget throughout all phases of the project.
  • Monitor project progress against established milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical or related discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, primarily focused on project management, including responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams
  • Registration as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.
  • Experience with alternative project delivery methods (e.g., design‑build, P3, progressive design‑build) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively engage with clients, project teams, regulators, and other stakeholders.
