About the role
- Project Coordinator providing onsite support and acting as a liaison in construction projects. Engage in various management tasks and assist site operations across multiple locations in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Providing onsite support to the superintendent and project manager.
- Acting as a liaison between project site and head office staff.
- Assisting in implementing and monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs.
- Quantity surveying, quantity review and system input.
- Coordinating field detail, site inspections and liaising with field subcontractors.
- Assisting site inspectors with the reporting function.
- Filing system set-up and maintenance, establishing/maintaining/monitoring document control.
- Maintaining daily communication with site superintendents and recording daily construction activity.
- Producing and logging photographic record.
- Preparation of daily site reports.
- Assisting in preparation of labour reports and cost reports.
- Expediting materials in conjunction with Project Manager.
- Coordinating and assisting with information distribution to subcontractors and own forces.
- Maintaining as-built drawings.
- Maintaining budgets and cost forecasts.
- Participating in post project review with key project personnel.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education - Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or Forestry an asset.
- Organizational skills, time management and project specific management abilities.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal for interface with clients and coworkers.
- Able to work in a team environment (Engineering, Purchasing, Estimating, Construction, etc.).
- Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and be legally permitted to work in Canada.
