Responsibilities
Providing onsite support to the superintendent and project manager.
Acting as a liaison between project site and head office staff.
Assisting in implementing and monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs.
Quantity surveying, quantity review and system input.
Coordinating field detail, site inspections and liaising with field subcontractors.
Assisting site inspectors with the reporting function.
Filing system set-up and maintenance, establishing/maintaining/monitoring document control.
Maintaining daily communication with site superintendents and recording daily construction activity.
Producing and logging photographic record.
Preparation of daily site reports.
Assisting in preparation of labour reports and cost reports.
Expediting materials in conjunction with Project Manager.
Coordinating and assisting with information distribution to subcontractors and own forces.
Maintaining as-built drawings.
Maintaining budgets and cost forecasts.
Participating in post project review with key project personnel.
Requirements
Post-secondary education - Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or Forestry an asset.
Organizational skills, time management and project specific management abilities.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal for interface with clients and coworkers.
Able to work in a team environment (Engineering, Purchasing, Estimating, Construction, etc.).
Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.
