About the role

  • TD Manager optimizing enterprise bank capital through performance analytics and allocation methodology. Delivering executive insights for strategic balance-sheet decisions and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Support TD’s enterprise capital management mandate, focusing on strategic capital optimization and capital performance analytics
  • Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency
  • Evaluate capital and return outcomes
  • Develop insights supporting disciplined balance sheet usage and strategic decision-making across businesses
  • Maintain and enhance capital performance dashboards and analytics, including Return on Equity, Organic Capital Accretion and Economic Profit
  • Perform analytical assessments and scenario analysis of capital and return implications of optimization initiatives and business strategies
  • Articulate key drivers, trade-offs and considerations
  • Contribute to enhancements of capital allocation methodologies and performance measurement approaches
  • Improve data, analytical processes, controls and governance
  • Identify and assess capital optimization opportunities arising from data, methodology and product-related enhancements
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and analysis for senior management, governance committees and the Board of Directors
  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, business segments and enterprise teams
  • Support informed analysis and recommendations through understanding of regulatory capital frameworks, financial markets, banking products, business strategies and capital management practices

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in capital management, Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, business performance analytics or a related function within a financial institution
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to assess capital drivers, return outcomes, business implications and trade-offs across financial, strategic and operational dimensions
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, concise and actionable insights, dashboards and executive-level materials
  • Effective relationship management and collaboration skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in data visualization, reporting tools, automation or AI-enabled analytics considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex capital, regulatory and financial topics into executive-ready messaging
  • Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage recurring deliverables and ad hoc requests under tight timelines
  • Professional accounting or finance designation such as CFA, CPA, MBA or FRM considered an asset
