About the role

  • Financial Planner providing personalized advice and investment solutions to TD Wealth clients. Building relationships, developing business, and helping mass affluent clients achieve financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Attend an in-person TD Wealth, Financial Planning career event in Vancouver
  • Identify clients’ life and financial goals and provide comprehensive financial reviews
  • Build long-term client relationships through financial planning expertise, relationship building, and ongoing services
  • Conduct reporting and relevant analysis, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and assess program effectiveness
  • Contribute to team and department goals while strengthening customer service
  • Monitor service and productivity, assess efficiency, and implement continuous improvements
  • Stay knowledgeable about best practices, procedures, and emerging trends
  • Acquire and apply expertise and provide mentorship, assistance, and direction to others
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control
  • Participate fully as a team member and support a positive, service-oriented work environment
  • Prospect external business development opportunities through networking, high-value sales, and business development

Requirements

  • 3–5 years within the financial services industry managing client relationships and providing financial advice and tailored investment solutions (preferred)
  • CIRO Registered Representative (RR) license within first 120 days in role
  • Achieve Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within first 3 years in role
  • CFP eligibility through a university degree, 5 years as a QAFP professional in good standing, or up to 10 years of qualifying work experience
  • Passion for financial planning and helping clients reach financial and life goals
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to prospect external business development opportunities through networking
  • Experience in high-value sales and business development
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, competitive landscape, economic market issues, and regulatory environment
  • Excellent people and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to provide assistance and build relationships
  • Ability to meet provincial employment regulations and requirements in Canada
