About the role

  • Health & Safety Manager leading risk reduction, audits, and compliance across TJX Canada’s Western Canadian retail stores. Partnering with operational leaders to strengthen safety culture and incident prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regional Health & Safety leadership across multiple provinces in Western Canada
  • Ensure consistent execution of corporate Health & Safety programs and expectations
  • Use data and risk indicators to prioritize visits, audits, validations, and targeted interventions
  • Partner with operations, HR, LP, and Facilities leaders to strengthen safety culture, support change adoption, and address emerging risks
  • Lead regional assessments, audits, and serious incident support
  • Escalate systemic issues as needed
  • Support provincial inspector visits through preparation, participation, and follow-up
  • Lead training and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen TJX Canada's safety culture
  • Provide expert guidance, analyze safety trends, support incident prevention, and translate safety programs into effective store execution

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Health & Safety experience in a multi-site operational environment
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with Regional and District Leaders to drive Health & Safety performance
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data, identifying trends, and recommending actionable solutions
  • Ability to translate Health & Safety programs, policies, and legislative requirements into practical store execution
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and compliance verification to identify and mitigate risks
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • Experience guiding leaders through incident investigations and corrective action planning in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Candidates aged 18 and over will be required to undergo a criminal record check
