About the role
- Associate Category Manager analyzing product performance, pricing, inventory, and vendor data for The Dufresne Group’s retail merchandising team. Supporting product lineups, category planning, reporting, and new store openings.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis, draw insights, and provide recommendations based on internal data sources, vendor insights, and market and competitor information
- Ensure accurate capture of product information for the web, including attributes and imagery
- Manage administrative activities surrounding product SKUs, marketing and advertising plans, inventory analysis and reporting, product information sharing, and pricing for stores
- Perform sales analysis to support establishing product lineup
- Prepare sales update reports covering new products, price changes, discontinued items, and related information
- Provide reports to support business-plan analysis and category-plan development
- Track and report on vendor promotional support programs (STAs)
- Support new store openings
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field, or a combination of related education and experience
- 3+ years of work experience in a related field
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
