Water Resources Engineer working on complex projects and providing water resources solutions in Ontario. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective environmental engineering services.
Responsibilities
Team member on single discipline and multi-disciplinary project teams.
Providing technical input for delivery of water resources projects to our public, mining, industrial, private and First Nations clients;
Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies, assessments, modelling, preliminary and detail design, cost estimates, specifications and input to contract documents;
Preparation of engineering calculations, designs and data analysis;
Preparation of technical reports to communicate design intent, data analysis and field investigation findings;
Application of innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D flow and transport models;
Floodplain and flood hazard mapping studies;
Interacting with client representatives and agencies;
Supervise and mentor early career professionals;
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering or natural resources science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
At least 5 years of research or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
Experience with modeling and design software tools such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
