About the role
- Senior iOS Engineer developing Tubi’s iOS, tvOS, and visionOS streaming applications. Optimizing playback, performance, and ad integration for a free service serving 100M+ monthly users.
Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, maintain, and deploy iOS, tvOS, and visionOS applications
- Work with the product team to understand end-user requirements and build solutions
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
- Apply architecture, design, and clean code best practices
- Integrate backend services for a seamless user experience
- Estimate work accurately and deliver features on time
- Write maintainable, scalable, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews
- Monitor emerging iOS development trends, especially audio/video streaming and ad integration
- Use AI-powered tools and automation to improve development efficiency, debugging, and workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship features
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 7+ years of iOS app development experience
- Strong expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and the Xcode development ecosystem
- Extensive experience with audio/video streaming technologies on iOS, including AVFoundation, video playback, and performance metrics
- Experience with player optimization, buffering strategies, and streaming analytics
- Strong competency in RESTful API integration, network communication protocols, and socket programming
- Proficiency with Git and experience with GitHub or similar platforms
- Familiarity with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
- Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development and productivity tools
