About the role

  • Payroll Specialist managing full-cycle payroll and benefit administration for UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. Collaborating with the HR team to enhance employee experience while ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer full-cycle bi-weekly payroll across two entities in partnership with our payroll vendor (ADP)
  • Prepare, verify, and process all employee payments
  • Maintain employee records and payroll changes in ADP
  • Partner with the Finance team to deliver payroll reconciliation and GL reports
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits
  • Support payroll-related filings and statutory documentation
  • Process benefits and pension enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Provide day-to-day HR operational support

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle payroll processes
  • Experience conducting payroll in a unionized environment
  • Proficient with ADP Workforce Now and/or other payroll systems
  • Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and other relevant legislation
  • Strong Excel skills
  • PCP or other payroll designation an asset
  • Proactive with excellent organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense for accuracy
