About the role
- Payroll Specialist managing full-cycle payroll and benefit administration for UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. Collaborating with the HR team to enhance employee experience while ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities
- Administer full-cycle bi-weekly payroll across two entities in partnership with our payroll vendor (ADP)
- Prepare, verify, and process all employee payments
- Maintain employee records and payroll changes in ADP
- Partner with the Finance team to deliver payroll reconciliation and GL reports
- Assist with internal and external payroll audits
- Support payroll-related filings and statutory documentation
- Process benefits and pension enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Provide day-to-day HR operational support
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ relevant work experience
- Strong understanding of full-cycle payroll processes
- Experience conducting payroll in a unionized environment
- Proficient with ADP Workforce Now and/or other payroll systems
- Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and other relevant legislation
- Strong Excel skills
- PCP or other payroll designation an asset
- Proactive with excellent organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense for accuracy
