Project Manager responsible for leading technology projects for utilities within a consulting firm. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on various project scales.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain client and vendor relationships.
Develop and maintain project plans.
Ensure projects remain on track.
Apply consistent project management standards and quality assurance to ensure that deliverables are high-quality.
Create and maintain risk and issue logs.
Manage internal project resources, assign roles and delegate responsibilities.
Create and maintain project budgets and financials.
Develop document deliverables, including presentations, procurement documents, and consulting reports.
Manage change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of impacts on schedule and budgets.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree/diploma
5+ years’ experience in a project management role managing large-scale technology projects
Utility experience is an asset
PMP certification is an asset
Ability to travel within the United States and Canada
Strong understanding of IT principles, including lifecycle planning, estimating, and architecture
Comprehensive knowledge of project management best practices and standards
Strong knowledge of project metrics and performance measurement
Working knowledge of the procurement lifecycle
Working knowledge of system integration activities, including business process development, system integration, and software testing
Knowledge of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is an asset
