About the role
- Sales Representative growing florist accounts for Teleflora’s online wholesale flower marketplace. Prospecting, outbound calling, relationship management, and customer retention for Flowerbuyer.com.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business to build, grow, and service a portfolio of retail florists using Flowerbuyer.com
- Establish rapport and trust with Teleflora and non-Teleflora florists
- Contact and develop relationships with key retail florists via phone calls and Microsoft Teams meetings
- Introduce products and explain available savings
- Work with internal departments and resources to provide custom products and solutions to high-volume top accounts
- Use order entry, call tracking, and contact management software
- Participate in sales, product, and process training as required
- Meet and exceed daily expectations for time spent on the telephone selling to florists
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2–3 years of sales experience
- Floral industry experience is a plus
- Experience with outbound sales, customer relationship management, or account development preferred
- Experience with prospecting, customer retention, objection handling, and reactivating inactive customers is a plus
- Proven track record of entering a new industry and building a book of business
- Ability to close and manage relationships both in person and over the phone
- Successful track record of new lead generation and overcoming customer objections
- Customer-obsessed mindset
- Strong time management, communication, and execution skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong desire to achieve and maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction
- PC literacy required, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
