About the role
- Senior SAP S/4HANA project manager leading platform upgrades for a large regulated Canadian organization. Coordinating SAP Activate delivery, testing, cutover, vendors, and post-go-live stabilization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete SAP S/4HANA upgrade project from initial preparation through production deployment and post-deployment stabilization
- Own the detailed upgrade plan, including schedules, resources, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Lead project phases according to SAP Activate, including preparation, Sandbox, development, quality assurance, testing, and production deployment
- Coordinate integrated, regression, and performance testing campaigns
- Define and execute the cutover strategy
- Coordinate SAP/BASIS teams, business process owners, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams, partners, and suppliers
- Manage project governance, change control, risk tracking, and reporting for senior management
- Contribute to change management, training, documentation, and post-go-live stabilization
- Collaborate with internal and external teams in a complex, highly regulated environment
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in SAP project management
- Hands-on experience managing SAP S/4HANA upgrades, ideally from a 2020/2021 version to 2023 or newer
- Excellent command of the SAP Activate methodology
- Significant experience in Supply Chain and Manufacturing
- Experience in an organization with more than 10,000 employees
- Experience with global SAP projects involving multiple teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Experience in a highly regulated environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple suppliers and partners simultaneously
- Significant experience planning and leading testing, cutover, and go-live activities
- Excellent command of project governance, including schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and RAID registers
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and senior management
- Experience in custom code remediation during an S/4HANA upgrade is an asset
- Understanding of SAP BASIS and SAP architecture is an asset
- Experience with large-scale testing and post-go-live hypercare/stabilization is an asset
- PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP certifications are an asset
- English required; bilingual candidates welcome
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
