About the role

  • Seeking a NodeJS Backend Developer with 4+ years experience in MSSQL, REST/GraphQL APIs, and Kafka. Hybrid role in Toronto, ON with pay up to $45/Hr.

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a strong Middle-layer / Backend NodeJS Developer with hands-on experience in MSSQL and scalable API development. Role involves building REST/GraphQL APIs and Kafka-based applications, working with MSSQL including complex query writing and optimization, working in Agile environments, delivering small to complex projects, presenting solutions to stakeholders, and working cross-functionally.

Requirements

  • Required Skills: 4+ years of professional experience in production-grade software development. Strong experience with NodeJS. Hands-on experience building REST / GraphQL APIs and Kafka-based applications. Strong expertise in MSSQL, including complex query writing and optimization. Experience working in Agile environments and delivering small to complex projects. Comfortable presenting solutions, prototypes, and enhancements to stakeholders. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Experience with DevOps pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, UCD). Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Kibana, Dynatrace). Experience with OpenShift cloud platform. Nice to Have: Wealth Management domain experience. Frontend exposure (Angular / React). Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis).
