About the role
- Senior Backend Developer needed for hybrid role in Toronto/Waterloo, building microservices and workflow orchestration with Camunda 8 on Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot, develop workflow orchestration solutions with Camunda 8, build API-first systems, work with event-driven architectures, deploy cloud-native applications on Azure, and implement resilience patterns and observability.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of backend development experience; strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices; hands-on experience with Camunda 8; experience with Azure cloud, Kubernetes, and API security (OAuth); background in financial services, insurance, or lending is a plus.
Benefits
- $63–67/hour (T4) | $75–79/hour (Incorporated); 9-month contract with strong extension potential; hybrid work model.
