About the role
- Senior IT Project Manager to lead AML application development projects in banking, managing budgets up to $5M+ with waterfall methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee end-to-end delivery of multiple application development projects valued between $1M and $5M. Manage project planning, execution, monitoring, and ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget parameters. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business, IT, QA, and vendor partners, to foster collaboration and project alignment. Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Implement project governance, reporting, and risk management strategies. Drive continuous improvement, transitioning teams from waterfall to Agile methodologies where applicable.
Requirements
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a strong background in application development and IT project delivery. Proven ability to manage large budgets ($1M–$5M+) and multiple concurrent projects. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. Familiarity with waterfall methodologies, with some exposure to Agile practices. Nice to Have: Prior experience in banking or financial services industry. Exposure to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) projects. Knowledge of vendor management and governance.
