About the role

  • Technical Project Manager with mandatory banking/financial domain experience. Manages projects through discovery, planning, scrum ceremonies, and cross-department collaboration in Calgary.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate discovery sessions with all key stakeholders to make sure everyone is aligned on project goals. Facilitate planning sessions that include grooming of epics/user stories, identifying dependencies, sizing the effort, resources planning and develop detailed release plan. Facilitate scrum ceremonies to plan and execute sprints, and scrum-of-scrums with impacted teams to make sure project is on track. Facilitate execution of sprints, testing strategy, test execution, defects management, and release activities. Cross-department collaboration across technology, business, infrastructure and other stakeholders involved. Manage risks, issues and mitigation plans proactively. Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Resolve scheduling, conflicts and other constraints to meet the deadlines. Communicate effectively, provide clear visibility to team and senior management into project health. For Program Managers: Manage large programs with inter-connected projects. Formulate, organize, monitor and coordinate cross-project activities. Resources and budget planning. Manage and guide project managers. Manage program level reporting, risk & issues, status rollup, leadership updates.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation and leadership skills. Banking, Financial domain mandatory.
