About the role

  • Business Development Representative generating and qualifying outbound opportunities for Absorb’s AI-powered learning platform. Engaging prospects, managing pipeline goals, and driving new SaaS customer bookings.

Responsibilities

  • Source new leads through innovative outbound methods and creative prospecting
  • Create and identify high-quality opportunities by discovering and qualifying outbound leads
  • Communicate the Absorb value proposition to new prospects
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly call, email, and prospecting goals
  • Attain weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline goals
  • Develop weekly call plans and quarterly account plans with the account team
  • Identify and engage sales opportunities using knowledge of industry issues and LMS applications
  • Maintain current client information in CRM tools
  • Participate in team meetings and process-improvement projects to drive sales output

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a related role
  • Team player and highly self-motivated
  • Adaptability to change and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle and thrive on daily objections and rejections
  • Proficient in detailed data analysis and using metrics to drive business results
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in long-term SaaS sales career opportunities
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience, including service industry, field sales, door-to-door, retail, or office sales (preferred qualification)
  • Familiarity with Sales Engagement tools: Outreach, SalesLoft, Salesforce (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Sales Prospecting tools: ZoomInfo, Lusha (preferred)
  • Understanding of sales qualification frameworks including MEDDPICC, BANT, SPIN, and Challenger (preferred)
  • Must pass pre-employment background screening, including a criminal record check
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country applied to without sponsorship
