About the role

  • Business Development Lead selling Hatch Studio’s AEPilot-powered managed software delivery. Prospecting, conducting discovery, qualifying buyers and booking Planning Sprint meetings across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Research and build target lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, referrals and warm introductions
  • Run outreach through LinkedIn, email and phone
  • Hold discovery conversations with business leaders about AI, software development and where implementations go wrong
  • Qualify prospects based on project reality, budget ownership, timing and fit for a Planning Sprint
  • Book qualified meetings
  • Record detailed notes after every conversation and keep the CRM clean
  • Feed buyer language into messaging monthly
  • Help shape outbound campaigns based on prospect insights
  • Build a focused target list and maintain a steady outreach rhythm
  • Surface Planning Sprint opportunities and contribute to qualified pipeline

Requirements

  • Real experience in or around the software development lifecycle, such as developer, QA, business analyst, product owner, project manager or technical account manager
  • Proven B2B sales or business development experience in outbound, booking meetings and qualifying, ideally selling services or software to non-technical business buyers
  • Daily use of AI tools with a critical lens; review and refine AI output before sending
  • Excellent written and spoken business English
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexible to attend remote meetings during the evening, when required
  • Must be a resident of Canada and eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to work during Pacific Time Zone regular business hours
  • Background check required for employment
  • Experience selling into regulated industries is a nice-to-have
  • Consulting or agency services sales experience is a nice-to-have
  • A network in Vancouver or across Canada is a nice-to-have
