About the role

  • Senior Research & Data Analyst at Government of Alberta analyzing health data for mental health and addiction. Supporting policy and decision-making with statistical models and analytical products.

Responsibilities

  • Extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large and complex health administrative datasets related to addiction and mental health
  • Reviewing health administrative data, case files, and toxicology data to identify substance-related toxicity
  • Designing and delivering high-quality analytical products such as statistical tables, contextual reports, and data visualizations
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards and other visualization tools

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field such as biostatistics, health economics, health informatics, or public health
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience analyzing and managing health data or health information
  • Demonstrated experience using statistical and analytic tools (such as SQL, SAS, R, Python, Power BI)
  • Experience interpreting complex data and preparing analytical reports, dashboards, or presentations to support policy development
