Responsibilities
Work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-impact data products that directly contribute to the success of our artificial lift optimization platform
Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to wrangle, contextualize, and visualize data using various BI tools/Python and cloud-based technologies
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline/integration issues by tracing root causes and collaborating with engineering and stakeholders.
Take ownership and communicate clearly with cross functional teams, and ramp up quickly on new tools and domain context.
Validate data quality, investigate anomalies, and help improve the accuracy and reliability of core datasets and metrics.
Participate in a strong team environment, exploring new ideas through experimentation, prototyping, and rapid feedback cycles
Embrace Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban to drive efficiency and ensure timely delivery of projects
Requirements
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong Python skills for data analysis and wrangling, writing and maintaining scripts, and debugging/fixing issues in data workflows and tools
Strong knowledge of relational data concepts and SQL
Expertise in data analysis: exploratory analysis, summarizing insights, validating data quality, clear reporting
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-based data analysis tools (beneficial)
Experience with modern data platform tooling (beneficial): microservices-based systems, monitoring/observability tools, data quality/monitoring practices, and event driven or containerized environments
Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Troubleshooting mindset: ability to investigate issues across data pipelines, services, and integrations; trace root causes
Excellent communication: can explain technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ownership and accountability: able to work independently, manage tasks end-to-end, and follow through
Fast learner: able to ramp up quickly on new tools, systems, and domain context.
