About the role

  • Bilingual sales representative managing Avantor’s scientific products territory near New Brunswick. Growing customer accounts through consultative selling, strategic planning, and manufacturer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a large territory of customer accounts as the primary post-sale contact
  • Conduct face-to-face and digital client interactions to close sales and provide ongoing support
  • Respond to inquiries and provide consultative guidance on products and services
  • Execute sales strategies, generate performance reports, and identify opportunities to increase sales volume
  • Mentor less experienced sales representatives and contribute to regional sales strategy
  • Prospect and establish new customers through pipeline management and customer proposals
  • Sell consultatively by determining customer needs and recommending VWR solutions
  • Develop strategic territory business plans with sales management to achieve growth and quota attainment
  • Build and sustain customer relationships and ensure satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage VWR’s product portfolio and implement sales and marketing strategies
  • Develop retention strategies and expand VWR’s role with existing customers
  • Represent and develop relationships with manufacturers
  • Work with local manufacturer representatives to improve product knowledge, pricing, and account profitability

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Science or higher
  • 1–3+ years of sales experience preferred
  • Business-to-business sales experience preferred
  • Bilingual French/English
  • Excellent communication and team interaction skills
  • Ability to converse with business owners and decision makers
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and interactions
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and territory successfully
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to sell strategically within an account
  • Ability to understand individual customer operations
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office
