About the role

  • Leave and accommodation program manager building compliant employee-support programs. Managing complex cases and return-to-work processes for Canadian wealth management provider Aviso.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing evolution of leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs
  • Identify opportunities to modernize processes, improve employee experience, strengthen governance, and align practices with organizational objectives
  • Oversee intake, case coordination, documentation, and resolution of complex leave, disability, and accommodation cases
  • Plan and implement return-to-work arrangements and appropriate workplace adjustments
  • Provide expert guidance to leaders, HR, and employees on leave entitlements, accommodation requirements, and compliance obligations
  • Advise on and administer statutory leaves
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards, legislation, human rights, disability, privacy, and occupational health requirements
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to coordinate case management and resolve escalations
  • Monitor program activity, trends, and outcomes
  • Track program metrics and prepare regular reporting

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Health Disability Management, or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant HR experience
  • 3–5 years specifically in leave of absence, disability management, or workplace accommodation
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, human rights obligations, disability management principles, privacy requirements, and return-to-work practices
  • Experience managing complex employee cases
  • Exceptional organizational skills and risk awareness
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential cases with discretion and sound judgment
  • Strict adherence to privacy and legal requirements
  • Ability to develop policies, processes, and program frameworks in a regulated or complex organizational environment
  • Fluent English communication skills required
  • French bilingual skills are an asset
  • CHRP, CHRL, CDMP, or related designation is an asset
