About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing technology initiatives at Best Buy Canada. Leading project delivery and strategic planning with a remote-first work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Use your toolbox of Project Management processes, design thinking, Agile and Lean practices, facilitation and leadership skills to predictably produce high-quality initiative delivery.
  • Partner and work with stakeholders to develop the strategic delivery plan, defining the distribution of the work and the respective responsibilities.
  • Manage the budget, actively monitor risk factors and oversee the implementation and completion of projects, while ensuring that they are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Establish and evolve program management frameworks and ways of working through an iterative, learn-by-doing approach (trial and error), incorporating feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Coach indirect reports at various levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, with exposure to program-level delivery.
  • Proven delivery leadership across both project and program management, with a track record of successfully managing multiple workstreams and dependencies in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Adaptability and a growth mindset—comfortable navigating ambiguity, learning quickly, and continuously improving ways of working.
  • Diverse background delivering technology initiatives across different domains (e.g., customer-facing products, platforms, infrastructure, data, security, and/or enterprise applications).
  • Hands-on experience with project delivery and collaboration tools, including the Atlassian suite (e.g., Jira/Confluence) and Microsoft 365 (e.g., Teams/SharePoint/Planner).
  • Strong planning and execution skills—building schedules, coordinating resources, managing issues/risks, and providing clear delivery tracking and status reporting.
