Responsibilities
Responsible for developing staff assignment plans for the Montreal News Centre
Coordinate all relevant data required to produce these plans efficiently
Serve in a strategic planning and advisory role with production teams and senior editorial staff
Negotiate terms with various stakeholders and identify creative solutions
Coordinate information across all relevant departments to establish assignment schedules
Secure the necessary approvals to carry out production projects
Work remote on-call shifts to cover last-minute replacement needs
Maintain compliance with corporate standards and ensure quality follow-up
Requirements
College diploma or equivalent
Three (3) or more years of experience in similar roles (e.g., project management, production logistics, or budget planning)
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and respect for confidentiality
Strong ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong ability to develop creative solutions and propose alternatives
Excellent command of French
Proficiency in Google Workspace (an asset)
Knowledge of a newsroom production environment (an asset)
