Responsibilities

  • oversee effective program intake and recruitment, participant support, and training outcomes
  • manage stakeholder relationships and compliance of funding contracts
  • provide strategic leadership of Employment Training programs
  • co-lead Employment Training Department business planning
  • manage team finances and ensure departmental budget is implemented
  • develop and maintain strong industry and community engagement
  • facilitate collaboration among team members and departments

Requirements

  • post-secondary education in business, economics, human services, or related discipline
  • demonstrated leadership qualities and care about people
  • assertive communication skills
  • enterprising and innovative mindset
  • experience working with marginalized individuals such as low-income populations, immigrants, Indigenous people, and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
  • knowledge of adult education and curriculum delivery
  • program management, planning, and development experience
  • results oriented
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • strong knowledge of program evaluation and continuous quality improvement
  • high level of computer literacy and tech savviness
  • experience in fund development and contract management (asset)
  • knowledge of community economic development (asset)
  • knowledge of skilled trades and/or technology sector (asset)
