About the role
- Senior Project Manager managing construction and facilities projects for Centurion Asset Management. Responsible for relationship development, project oversight, and process improvements in project execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist the Director of Technical Services and Innovation, and Property Managers with proactive timely resolution of contractor, vendor, and consultant performance issues related to routine maintenance and capital/construction projects
- Assist Property Managers in defining and setting performance and quality targets for site maintenance
- Complete regular site inspections of properties including plant operations to identify trends and opportunities
- Assist Property Managers with the preparation of capital budgets
- Liaise with Consultants as required for major capital projects
- Identify opportunities for utility savings and improved efficiency
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in construction management, project management, engineering, facility management, quantity surveying or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in project/facilities/construction management
- Multi-residential operations or project management experience with a national portfolio would be an asset
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong command of MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented; able to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning and common sense
- Forward thinking with an ability to develop creative strategic solutions to issues
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve difficult issues in a timely manner
- Experience with Yardi property management systems and Smartsheet is considered an asset.
