About the role

  • Learning Specialist delivering virtual and in-person professional-growth workshops for Western Canadian co-ops. Coordinating session logistics, events, evaluations, expenses, and LMS support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging workshops virtually or in person for team members across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS)
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for in-person sessions, including venues, travel, and catering
  • Manage event execution and monitor attendance
  • Handle post-workshop follow-up, including evaluations and expenses
  • Support the Learning & Development team in designing and preparing content for CRS initiatives
  • Collaborate with Learning Specialists
  • Assist with occasional Learning Management System (LMS) setup
  • Report to the Manager, Learning & Development

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR or learning and development
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or education (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and customer service
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel to facilitate in-person workshops
  • Proximity to a major airport is preferred
  • May be required to complete a criminal record check in accordance with FCL policies
