About the role

  • HR Generalist supporting bilingual employee services for Cologix, a North American interconnection and hyperscale edge data center company. Administering leave, onboarding, HRIS, employee relations, compliance, and lifecycle programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, overseeing HR mailbox inquiries and employment verification requests
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, programs, and procedures
  • Coordinate and monitor leave administration through HRIS platforms
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation, including employee documentation and resources
  • Facilitate introductions to organizational policies, procedures, and HR programs
  • Administer employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, terminations, status changes, transfers, leaves of absence, and position changes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HRIS data and employee records
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices
  • Monitor applicable employment legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to strategic HR projects, programs, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Support U.S. and Canadian federal, state, and provincial reporting
  • Administer U.S. employment eligibility verification, including I-9 documentation and E-Verify

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, best practices, employment standards, and regulatory requirements across Canada and the United States
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with accuracy and professionalism
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
  • Dayforce experience considered a strong asset
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in Canada
  • Employer cannot sponsor or transfer sponsorship of an employment visa/work permit
