About the role
- Retread/Technical Solutions Field Specialist consulting on equipment installations for Digital Solutions products at Continental. Collaborating with CLC partners and providing training and technical assistance.
Responsibilities
- Act as consultant to Conti Life Cycle (CLC) Partner for pre-install consulting and Partner approval
- Work with CLC Partner's contractors and suppliers to maintain production schedule upon installation
- Advise on plant installation requirements, like power, electricity, compressors, transformers, etc.
- Support CLC partners with equipment operation, process execution and maintenance training
- Develop and implement the retreading quality process
- Provide technical assistance to all Digital Solutions products with customers (Fleets and Dealers)
- Help with installations, demonstrations and training
- Implement and train on all tracking systems of each retreading tire into the retreading shop
- Support CLC partners to train their plant personnel
- Provide technical assistance to machine and process related problems
- Ensure that every equipment manual is available
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering plus 2+ years related experience OR 5+ years of relevant experience if no Bachelor's Degree
- Professional experience with Retreading process, plant layouts, equipment installations
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset
- Troubleshooting & problem solving ability
- Project management experience
- Ability to travel extensively travel within Canada (50 - 75%)
- Valid passport and drivers license
